Thoughts and Prayers

By | May 10, 2009

I hope everyone enjoyed their day today.  After a delicious brunch at Copeland's, I was ready for the sofa but decided to stamp instead.  Then I took a nap!

Today's post is a masculine card.  I've been doing so many floral cards lately that I felt the need for a "male" card.  I just received this stamp set and decided to play with it instead of sticking it in a corner and forgetting about it which I have been known to do!

I also received the Manchester Design Series Paper (taking advantage of the 3 for 1 DSP special going on this month.  For more info, click here).  This paper is absolutely beautiful (if you can call plaids and stripes beautiful!).  The colors are so subtle and soft – they include Baja Breeze, Always Artichoke, Kraft and Very Vanilla.

The main image was colored in using Always Artichoke and Close to Cocoa Stampin' Write Markers, then stamped on Very Vanilla Card Stock.  The sentiment was stamped in Always Artichoke Classic Ink and propped up using Stampin' Dimensionals

Tip:

When I have a large sentiment I want to prop up, I used the part of the Stampin' Dimensionals that's left over when you've gone through a package of them .   See picture below.   No waste!
