The Open Sea

Hi Stampin' Friends

Another masculine card for you today!  I needed a card to send to an acquaintance and since I don't make masculine cards very often, I don't have a reserve like I do with the feminine cards.  I still had Island Indigo laying around (used yesterday for my grandson's card) and decided to use this color for today's card.

I selected The Open Sea Stamp Brush Set for his card because of its classic images and old world designs.   It was printed on Very Vanilla Card Stock in Island Indigo using My Digital Studio.

The old world map that's on one of the sheets from the Fan Fair Designer Series Paper was a perfect match for the tall ship.  This was adhered to the base card  and a strip of Island Indigo Card Stock punched with the Scallop Border Punch was added to the left side of the card.  The Twill Tape was given to me by a friend – Thanks Carol!

Here's are some of the items I used on the card:

The Open Sea Stamp Brush Set – Digital Download (124112) $3.95

Fan Fair Designer Series Paper (126918) $10.95

Fan Fair

Scallop Edge Border Punch (119882) $15.95

Thanks for stopping by today and have a great Tuesday!

Thanks Lisa – I know what you mean about the difficulty of creating masculine cards.
