The Nicest Things

By | January 18, 2011

Hi Stampers

Opener
Fewer things carry us through the rough patches or cheer us on in our triumphs better than a good friend.  I thought this stamp set, The Nicest Things would be the perfect card for my BFF in Arkansas, Jane.  I was sick at the beginning of this month and Jane showered me with gifts – see this post.  I didn't want to post it until I knew she had received the card.  Thanks Jane for all the goodies!

The image was stamped with Basic Black Classic Ink on Very Vanilla Card Stock.  The dresses and hairbow were paper pieced from the gorgeous Springtime Vintage Designer Series Paper from the Occasions Mini Catalog.  The little girls were colored in using Stampin' Write Markers and layered on Pear Pizzazz Card Stock which was punched with the Eyelet Border Punch along the left size.

The Heart was embossed using the Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslits Die.  I adhered it to the card using Linen Thread and a retired scalloped button (don't remember the name).  The base card is Rose Red Card Stock layered with the Springtime Vintage Designer Series Paper.

Thanks for stopping by today
