Getting the new catalogs to customers early will just be shooting yourself in the foot… (who came up with that silly saying…what’s it got to do with undermining June sales!)
Anyway!
My opinion DON’T GET THEM OUT THERE TOO EARLY!!!! You want them spending their JUNE CRAFTING DOLLARS on RETIRING STUFF…
Our job…
DEMO THE RETIRING STAMPS… STAMPS STAMPS!!!! Those don’t “sell out” …but we can create the “I gotta have that one” feeling for many of the stamps on the retiring list…
FOR EXAMPLE…and this is just an example…I’m clueless what’s retiring…Say the BIG Medallion is retiring…So we want them to buy it…
IF…there’s a newer version of a big medallion and it’s in the July 1st catalog…and THEY SEE IT…do you think they’re going to buy the one that’s going away in June? I DON’T THINK SO…
I know if they see all the new stuff too early in June…all sales will halt, and they will “save it” for July…
But experience tells me they won’t spend MORE in July…they’ll just not order in JUNE…
SO PLAY UP THE RETIRING STAMPS STAMPS STAMPS…
This is where Stampin’ Up! has their highest profit margin, thus helping the company’s financials…
And STAMPS DON’T SELL OUT ….they keep making them until all the backorders are filled…
SO MUCH EASIER than pushing the accessories…only to find out they aren’t available anymore, etc….
