“All That is Gold Does Not Glitter” is a poem written by J. R. R. Tolkien for his fantasy novel The Lord of the Rings. It alludes to an integral part of the plot. The poem reads:
- All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
- From the ashes a fire shall be woken, A light from the shadows shall spring; Renewed shall be blade that was broken, The crownless again shall be king.
Just a little nonsense you may want to know.
But in this case, all that is gold does glitter!
I changed my mind and just before I left for California, I made this card for my daughter, Deena’s, 50th birthday party. I thought it matched the invitation a lot more than the one I previously made. Click here to see the invite and other card. I do think Deena will like this card a lot more because it more age specific and she is all about glamor and glitz! The other one was a little old fashion for her.
The dress was die cut using the Dress Up Framelits Dies and Big Shot. The sentiment is from the Million & One Stamp Set and the splatter in the background is from the Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set.
