I just got back from a week in California visiting my daughter, sister, family and old stomping grounds. It was wonder to visit the places I lived at (Santa Barbara and Goleta) in the late 1940’s/early 1950’s and to visit my elementary school and junior high school. It was an awesome walk down memory lane.
So, for today’s card, I’m featuring a digital image (orchid) as a thank you card for her generosity. I think the technique is called spotlighting.
The digital image is just one I found on the internet (free). I printed it out on Basic White Cardstock and then die cut it with the Stitched Rectangle Dies. I used the heart from the Floral Hearts Dies for the spotlight image. The top panel was layered with the Silver Foil Sheets and then popped up with Stampin’ Dimensions. I added a silver bow from the Simply Elegant Trim and also attached some silver embellishments.
This is the inside of the card. On Canva, I made the image 20% transparent and added the words. I then printed it out on cardstock and die cut with the Stitched Rectangle Dies.
I was also able to print the image on the flap of a Basic White Envelope.
Thanks again for stopping by and spending a bit of your time with me. I hope you enjoyed learning about how this card came together. Hopefully you were inspired just a bit❤️
