Sweet Little Love Notes | Stamp with Rachel

It’s hard to believe that Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. I thought I would share a tradition I’ve had with my dear husband over the years and one that he has always loved.

He is very much a simple man and never expects something materialistic during any holiday. One year I decided to create Valentine’s cards for him with a twist. Instead of receiving just one card on Valentine’s Day, I started celebrating by giving him a card each day starting on February 1 leading up to Valentine’s Day. Each one had a special love note inside and he’s kept every single card over the years.

This year I’m doing something a little different by creating 14 different 3″ x 3″ cards using the Sealed with Love Bundle (item 144705).

The 3″ x 3″ cards are created using Watercolor Paper (item 122959) as the card base. Trim the Watercolor Paper to 3″ x 6″ and then fold in half.

Using an Aqua Painter (item 103954) and three base ink pad colors—Watermelon Wonder (item 138323), Soft Suede (item 126978), and Sahara Sand (item 126976)—create a simple watercolor wash over the center of each of the card fronts.

While each card includes many of the same products, each card has its own personality and a different love note greeting.

The Sealed with Love Stamp Set (item 142815) provides the perfect greetings for each of these love notes.

While many of the cards were created using the Sealed with Love Bundle, I added a few favorite products perfect for Valentine’s cards such as Delicate White Doilies (Item 141701) and the hearts from the Brights Enamel Shapes (item 141680).

A love note wouldn’t be complete without adding sweet music notes. Although This Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper (item 141628) has many designs for the holiday season, the music notes can be used for any season and added the vintage style I was looking for.
