Stipple Blossoms

By | June 21, 2014

We get caught up in the excitement of the new catalog and new stamp sets that we neglect some our favorites that carried over.   I am so glad that the Stipple Blossoms Stamp Set carried over so we are able to enjoy it and create beautiful cards for another year.  Which favorite stamp set carried over for you?

Roses are my favorite flowers, as  I mentioned a couple of days ago, especially the climbing old fashion kind.

The roses were stamped with Melon Mambo Classic Ink on Very Vanilla Card Stock.  This is a two step stamp set (1 lined and 1 solid) and I like to use the lined stamp first stamping the image with the darker color.  I then stamp the solid stamp (same color) but stamp off once to give it that lighter color – make sense?  Maybe it’s time for a video!  I’ll have one up in a couple of days.

For the background strip of card stock, I made my own DSP and used the retired background stamp call French Script.  The lace is a Non-SU item and I’ve had it for years.
