Spring Song meets Dusty Durango

Did you'all make the Irish Soda Bread from the recipe I posted yesterday? Well, neither did I! Though I meant to but my girlfriend Jane and I went to see Green Zone and time got away from me. Matt Damon is to Jane what George Clooney is to me!

Today's card features the stamp set "Spring Song". You can buy this set from the Big Idea Book & Catalog but you can also get it for FREE from the Sale-a-bration Mini Catalog. It's listed on the back page and the ID # is 120230. I am almost embarrassed to admit that the Dusty Durango Classic Ink Pad, and Grosgrain Ribbon was still in its wrapping. I can't believe I had not used this color as yet.

The main image was stamped with Jet Black Stazon on watercolor paper. I colored in the images using Dusty Durango, Old Olive, and Crushed Curry Classic Ink pads and an aqua painter. I then used the Color Spritzer Tool and Dusty Durango Stampin' Write Marker around the outside of the watercolor paper to give it an airbrush effect.

The sentiment is from All Holidays and was stamped in Dusty Durango.

The main image was then layered with Dusty Durango card stock which was punched with the decorative Scallop Trim Border punch which is FREE until 31 March 2010 with a $50.00 purchase. I love Stampin' Up!'s latest border punch – it gives any border a dainty touch.

I decided to do something a little different and layered Dusty Durango on Dusty Durango which was fed through the Big Shot using the Finial Press Textured Impressions Folder. It was attached with Stampin' Dimensionals to give it a 3D effect.

The inside was stamped with the flower image in Dusty Durango. I covered the hummingbird with scotch tape, inked up the image with Dusty Durango, removed the scotch tape and stamped it on the lower right hand side.
