Today’s post features the Forever Blossoms Stamp Set. It’s one of my favorites from the Annual Catalog. I also thought I would start keeping copies of my sketch and include them here for your use if you like.
I love the detailed floral images in this set. It also has greetings for all occasions, i.e, anniversaries, weddings, friendships and more. But a wanted a birthday card so I used a stamp from the Label Me Bold Stamp Set.
I wanted to go for a watercolor effect so I stamped the floral image with Basic Gray Ink – I didn’t press too hard because I wanted a light color. I then colored in the flowers with Petal Pink Ink and Calypso Coral Ink using our Water Painters. The leaves were colored in with Old Olive Ink.
The background (Petal Pink Cardstock) was stamped with Calypso Coral Ink using the Birch Background Stamp. I added a strip of Old Olive Cardstock to the left side of the card.
The floral image was die cut with the coordinating die called Cherry Blossoms Dies. The center circle is from the Painted Labels Die. I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop them up. The rhinestones are from the Champagne Rhinestone package.
