Sincere Salutation

By | April 8, 2010

Good Morning Stampers!

Opener

I spent most of the day in Springfield, MO visiting the eye surgeon for a routine post-operative appointment.  Everything is as expected but it'll be a couple of months before I get my complete vision back.

I came home and made this quick card.  It was so easy it would qualify for Caroleanne and Sandi's 10 minute card.  I made it for SUDSOL's sketch challenge of the week.

 What I did:

  1. Sentiment is from Sincere Salutations.  I stamped that on Naturals Ivory using Bermuda Bay Classic Ink.  It was then punched out using the retired SU key tag punch.  This punch retired last year (I think) but I still use it a lot and will not part with it.  The 2nd layer (Chocolate Chip) was cut out free hand using paper snips.
  2. Add the striped paper from the Sweet Pea Designer Paper Series Stack.  The next layer (almost looks like a solid color) is also from the same paper stack.  This DSP is from the Occasions Mini Catalog and will not longer be for sale after 30 April 2010.  So if you want it, need to order it now or before 30 April 2010.
  3. The Chocolate Chip Corduroy Button was added to add texture to the card.  I tied a knot in the button using some embroidery thread.
  4. The Chocolate chip grosgrain ribbon was added to the striped pattern paper.  In lieu of a bow, I decided to add two knots at the top – don't know if you can see it in the picture.

Thanks for stopping by today.
