Hope you had a wonderful weekend. I spent my weekend reorganizing my ink pads to include the new core colors. I haven’t ordered all of them so there are large gaps in my ink pad holder. I use the combo storage pad organizer from Stamp N Storage and would absolutely love to get the super comb holder but it will have to wait.

Anyhoo, for today’s card, I am using the Wildlife Wonder Stamp Set. The set includes sentiments for many occasions and imagery for wildlife enthusiasts: bear, owl, and wolf. Whether you want to send Father’s Day greetings, birthday wishes, or your thanks, this set will help you.

I created clouds in the background using a homemade template with Balmy Blue Ink and a Blending Brush. I added the bear stamping several times with Early Espresso Ink. The is easy to do with any stamp positioner – I used the retired Stamparatus. The bottom of the front panel was stamped several times with the ground image from the set and Old Olive Ink. I used the masking technique for the bottom of the legs.

The flowers were colored with the Gorgeous Grape Stampin’ Write Marker and the leaves/stems with the Old Olive Stampin’ Write Marker. I smeared a little bit of the Gorgeous Grape Ink so I added a butterfly from the Butterfly Gems to hide the mistake. The sentiment was stamped with Early Espresso Ink and the inside was left blank except for the sentiment “to a great guy” which was stamped in Early Espresso Ink.

Thanks again for stopping by and spending a bit of your time with me. I hope you enjoyed learning about how this card came together. Hopefully you were even inspired just a bit. If you enjoyed my project for today, please be sure to visit my Card Gallery for lots of ideas and inspiration. Have a great Monday!
