After Wednesday’s bright and colorful card, I decided to go with a soft nature and monochromatic look for today’s card. I used the Nested Friends Stamp Set and Dies to make a birthday card for a special friend who loves birds. This set features images of a bird, nest, eggs, branches, foliage, and all the sentiments you need to create the perfect handmade card!

Since I didn’t have any Pool Party DSP, I decided to make my own! The bottom layer (next to base card) was created with the retired Birch Background Stamp and Pool Party Ink. The 3 strips which lay on tp of the background panel were made using a cloud template, a Blending Brush and Pool Party Ink.

The bird image was stamped on Basic White Cardstock with Pool Party Ink. It was then cut using the coordinating Nested Friends die. The 3 small flowers are from the Apple Harvest Dies and were cut out using Pool Party Cardstock. The leaves were punched out with the Bough Punch and then embossed with the Greenery Embossing Folder. The nest is Crumb Cake Cardstock and cut out with the coordinating die from the Nested Friends Dies.

The ribbon used for this card is the Pool Party Sheer Ribbon and the sentiment is from the Nested Friends Stamp Set and was cut out using a circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies. The embellishments include the 2021-2023 In Color Opal Rounds and Crystal Drops (non-SU) for the center of the flowers.

I added a strip of left over stamped background (Birch Stamp) to the inside of the card. I lightly sponged the envelope flap to create a cloud and sky effect with the Blending Brushes and Pool Party.
