Hi Stampin' Friends!

Remember watching fireflies light up your yard on hot summer nights? Fireflies are beautiful, mysterious, and magical—and for many of us, catching and spotting them was an important part of growing up.

Prefectly-Preserved1 copyAnd now I love showing my grandchildren the wonder of those magical fireflies!

Perfectly-Preserved-Sept-20 copy
The jar and lid is from the Perfectly Preserved Clear Mount Stamp Set and is on page 29 of the Holiday Catalog.  I was able to die cut both the jar and lid using the coordinating Cannery Set Framelits Dies – no Paper Snips required!  Did you know that you can save $6.95 when you put both the stamp set and framelits dies together!  Only $38.95 for the clear mount set in lieu of $45.90 if you buy them individually.

JarI lightly colored in the jar with Baja Breeze Ink and an Aqua Painter. This wonderful tool is versatile and easy to use, and works great with Stampin' Up! Watercolor Pencils, Watercolor Wonder Crayons, Classic Stampin' Pads, and other mediums to pull and blend colors.

The rhinestones are the fireflies.  I asked my granddaughter, Felicia, what they were and she guessed correctly (fireflies).  I then showed it to my husband and he said what are rhinestones doing in a mason jar!  No imagination!!!

Ribbon

I distressed the ends of all three ribbons with the Paper Snips.

The paper is from the Orchard Harvest Designer Series Paper from the Holiday Catalog.

The borders of the DSP were punched using the retired Eyelet Border Punch.

The sentiment is from the Word Play Clear Mount Stamp Set

Thanks for stopping by today

Rachel, VERY clever! I caught fire flies in a jar when I was a little girl. Sweet memories. Love the card!
