Definition of REMEMBER (from Merriam-Webster): to bring to mind or think of again <remembers the old days>. When I first started making this card, it brought back so many memories of my Grandfather.
- Going with him to the trash dump site in his old truck.
- Or sneaking out to eat at the local cafe after church.
I'm sure there is an old truck somewhere in your memories.
The truck and surroundings were colored in using a combination of Stampin' Write markers and a blender pen. It's easy to achieve a beautiful watercolor effect using a marker and a blender. And the tip cleans off with just a couple of strokes on scratch paper so you only need a couple for all your blending needs.
I colored the apples with the Pear Pizzazz Stampin' Write Marker. I first thought of coloring them red (for red delicious apples – my favorite!) but I wanted a red truck so green it was. My husband's favorite apple is the Granny Smith Apple – do you have a favorite?
The sentiment is from the In a Word Stamp Set – it's retired but you can still get it as a digital download. The pattern paper is from Love Letter Designer Series Paper. The background was spritzed using the Color Spritzer Tool and Soft Suede Stampin' Write Marker. I also lightly spritzed the sentiment for a cohesive look.

Your card is simply exquisite with your coloring/blending and design! The houndstooth paper was the perfect choice to bring out, and coordinate, with the image panel!
