Good Morning Crafters!
Do you play Christmas music when making Christmas cards? I love to listen to Christmas music and some of my favorites are: Winter Wonderland, Frosty the Snowman, It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year, It’s Beginning to Look a lot like Christmas, and so many others. What are some of your favorites?
The Poinsettia Place Designer Series Paper has always been a favorite and I kept it after it retired. I decided to make today’s card using this gorgeous DSP and paired it with the Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper to make a vintage looking Christmas Card.
The base card is Soft Suede Cardstock layered with Very Vanilla Cardstock and one of the red patterns from the Boughs of Holly DSP. Before attaching to the base card, I embossed the top layer with the Bark 3D Embossing Folder. I then added the Lace Trim Ribbon to the center of the card front.
I fussy cut the poinsettia flower from the Poinsettia Place DSP with our Paper Snips and attached it to the to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The twigs were die cut from Soft Suede Cardstock using the Harvest Dies. I attached them to the front of the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The Greeting was stamped with Soft Suede Ink on Very Vanilla Thick Cardstock and fussy cut with our Paper Snips. The rhinestones are from the Champagne Rhinestones Embellishments.
This is the inside of the card. I stamped the sentiment from the Leaves of Holly Stamp Set with Soft Suede Ink onto Very Vanilla Cardstock. The poinsettia flower was fussy cut with Paper Snips and glued to the lower left side of the Very Vanilla Cardstock.
The flap of the Very Vanilla Medium Envelope was dressed up with the same pattern paper as used on the card. I also embossed it with the Bark 3D Embossing Folder.
