Well, it’s been a long 2 months but I’m back to making cards again. I’ve been blogging since 2009 and it’s soooo good to back! 🥰 Back on 30 June I tripped and fractured my elbow and was in a cast for several weeks. During this time, I fell again and received a concussion. My headaches are gone but my arm is not yet fully functional. But I’m back and eager to show my creations with the hope that it may inspire you.
I created the above card in answer to a team challenge to make a Christmas theme card using all current Stampin’ Up! products. I decided on the Poinsettia Petals Stamp Set Bundle in the farmhouse style. This will be Christmas card I’m sending out this year since my kitchen, dining room and living room are in that style.
Here’s what I did:
- The background panel was embossed with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder.
- The petals were die cut and embossed with the coordinating Poinsettia Dies. I ran them through the Stampin’ Cut & Embossing Machine several times to get the deep impressions in the petals.
- Leaves were die cut using the coordinating dies.
- The sprigs are made with the same coordinating dies.
- Pearls are from the Matte Black Dots Embellishment Package.
- Ribbon used is the Black & White Gingham 1/4″ Ribbon.
Card Measurements:
- Base card: Basic White Cardstock, 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″. Fold in half with Bone Folder for a sharp crease.
- Next layer: Basic Black Cardstock, 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″
- Next layer: Basic White Cardstock, 5 1/4″ x 4″
