Shabby Chic goes Bright!

By | September 5, 2012

Hi Stampin' Friends

For today's card, I used Papaya Collage, Apothecary Art and French Foliage Stamp Sets.  Usually I think of soft muted colors when I think of Shabby Chic, but I decided to go outside the box and make the card shabby chic but use bright bold colors. What do you think?  Do you like it?

I love the French Foliage stamp set and will be using it more and more as we get into fall.  Speaking of fall, it's going to be in the mid-40's at night on Monday – WHOOOHOOO!  I am so looking forward to fall and the cooler weather.  Of course, in a couple of months, I'll probably be complaining about the cold weather! (smile)

Papaya-Collage copyUse these exquisitely detailed images in the Papaya Collage Stamp Set to bring vintage elegance and refinement to your cards, tags, and scrapbook pages. Or purchase this seven-piece stamp set as a gorgeous gift for a special friend.  It coordinates with the 3/4" Circle Punch.

RosesI used my most favorite new tool again to make the roses.  It's not SU and I hope that they come out with something like this in the next catalog to make the roses.  It's so quick and easy and I can either use coordinating colors or contrasting colors of card stock to make the darling mini roses.  Did you check out my short video on how to make them?

Embossing

Have you seen the new embossing folder on page 6 of the Holiday catalog?  It's called Lacy Brocade and it's perfect for adding a touch of elegance to any holiday card.

ButterflyThe butterfly was stamped in Summer Starfruit on Very Vanilla Card Stock and punched out using the Elegant Butterfly Punch

The ribbon is the retired Pear Pizzazz 1/2" Seam Binding Ribbon.

Thanks for stopping by today
