It’s Fall, Y’all

For many of us, the crisp air and changing colors of the leaves in fall represent a new beginning. To me, it means sweater weather (love to wear sweaters, jeans and boots), fireplace nights, comfort food (soups, stews, hot cocoa), and especially pumpkin pie! And for my husband, it means – FOOTBALL!!! 🏈 The flowers is from the Positive Thinking Stamp Set. The leaves are from the Forever Fern, Daisy… Read More »

Happy Birthday Sydney

Today’s card is a digital image that I am using for my beautiful granddaughter’s birthday. She is big fan of Starbucks so I added their logo to the cup and enclosed a Starbucks’ gift certificate. For the background, I used one of the sheets from the Harvest Meadow Designer Series Paper. I love the muted color of the Soft Succulent sheet of DSP. Colors used: Soft Succulent for the dress… Read More »

With the coordinating retired Peony Gardens Designer Series Paper you can create such beautiful subtle colors that can be left muted or can be combined with other things for a dramatic pop of color. Pretty Pumpkins

Falls coming! Though it’s still in the high 80’s during the day in our area, it’s in the 50-60’s at night. Yay! In celebration, I decided to make a fall card using the Pretty Pumpkin Stamp Set Bundle. When making a card, I usually select my stamp set first and then the designer series paper (if I’m going use some). The DSP will determine what colors I will be using… Read More »

A Sympathy Card using Forever Blossoms

Today’s card was created in answer to a team challenge to make a sympathy card. Because I wanted simple yet elegant card I made one using Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder as the focal point. The stamp set used was the Forever Blossoms Stamp Set. I stamped the image with Versamark and then embossed with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and the Heat Tool. The sentiment is from the Positive Thinking Stamp… Read More »

Nature’s Harvest

We all hate to make these type of cards but especially if it’s for a member of your family. This one is for my sister and the family of Michael Anthony Martinez who passed away last month. He was the most delightful, funny, awesome, loyal and caring nephew a person could ask for. He was taken much too soon. RIP Mikey💕 The stamp set I chose for this card is… Read More »

Nuts About Squirrels!

Today’s post features the cute and adorable Nuts About Squirrels Stamp Set. I think this is one of the cutest stamp sets in the catalog. It has a two step process which lets you add color and texture to your. images. I was drawn to this whimsical set because my husband (like so many others) has a hate/love relationship with the squirrels in our area. We have gone through so… Read More »

Poinsettia Petals – Farmhouse Style

Well, it’s been a long 2 months but I’m back to making cards again. I’ve been blogging since 2009 and it’s soooo good to back! 🥰 Back on 30 June I tripped and fractured my elbow and was in a cast for several weeks. During this time, I fell again and received a concussion. My headaches are gone but my arm is not yet fully functional. But I’m back and… Read More »
