Recently my friend Jane went to California. Before she left, I told her to try two things while in California. One was In N Out Burger and the other was See's Candy. I was going to ask her to bring me back a burger from In N Out, but I didn't think it would last (LOL). She brought me back the cutest little box (see above) that was filled with… Read More »

Branch Out
What a nice simple design for Branch Out. As you may know, I usually make flowery cards but lately I've been buying the more modern stamp sets, such as this one and Fifth Avenue Floral. I've had fun playing with them – now I all I have to do is order some of the bold bright designer series paper Washington Apple or Rockabilly Specialty. I might with the special we are… Read More »
Soft Summer
I know that dogwoods are either white or pink but I could not resist making one in blue! The main image was stamped in brown stazon and colored in using reinkers and a blender pen. Using post it notes, I softly sponged blue on the card stock leaving a white border. The sentiment was mounted on stampin' dimensionals so that it would create a soft shadow. What do you… Read More »

Freedom in Creating
I attended a brayer class by Michelle Zindorf (Freedom in Creating) yesterday, Friday 17 April 2009. I have been following her blog for over a year and have wanted to take one of her classes. She finally came to our area (Fort Smith, AR) and I had the opportunity to attend. What a class! The work/learning experience was intensive but well worth it. If you want to learn how to brayer… Read More »

The Prom
I first saw the template for this dress on Patty's Stamping Spot (Patty Bennett). I thought it was adorable and decided to make a spring dress out of it. The dress reminds me of a dress I wore to my prom when I was in high school. Of course, it's been years since I've been able to wear a strapless dress (LOL). The dress was punched out using the Scallop… Read More »
I’m a Gothic Girl!
Today's card is for the Just my Sketches Blog. Check out what the other design team members have made – fabulous cards! Isn't this girl just the cutest? I bought this stamp a while ago from Stampotique. The main image was stamped using Black Stazon and then colored in using Blush Blossom, Bravo Burgundy and Certainly Celery Stampin' Write Markers. The sentiment is computer generated. Recipe: Stamp: Gothic Girl from Stampotique… Read More »
The Old and the New
A couple of posts ago, I stated how much I hate to use my designer series paper. I tend to hoard it. This is the first time I've used Parisian Breeze since I bought it. I thought I would use it with one of my older but goody stamp set, Heartfelt Thanks. Today's card is also using Sketch SC224 from Splitcoast Stampers. I stamped the main image in Brown Stazon… Read More »
