5th Avenue Flower

I love the way this card turned out!  (I guess we can say that about our cards, can't we???).  Doesn't this look like the perfect Mother's Day card?  I saw the technique on Patty Bennett's blog and I knew right away I had to try it! I stamped the rose image on Shimmery White card stock using White Craft Ink.  I then added clear embossing powder and embossed with the… Read More »

Morning Soft

I love morning glories but they have such a short growing season and I don't get to enjoy them as long as I would like to.  I love the way they bloom in the morning and then once the sun hits them, they close up.  Today's card is called Morning Soft.  I first ink up the stamp using versamark, then inked it up with basic black.  I added clear embossing powder… Read More »

Fresh Cuts

Today's card was punched out using the Sizzix Bigz die Circle Scallop.  I'm really amazed how easy these dies are to use on the Big Shot.   I cut out Pale Plum card stock 4 x 8 and then folded in half.  I position the layer right below the top scallop so that I would have a hinge on top (makes sense???).  I then punched out two circles using the… Read More »

Dreams du Jour

You have probably noticed (especially if you follow both my blogs) that I've been using stamps that have been around for at least a year.  That's because I feel that I've neglected them!  I am also trying to use card stock that I have not used recently.  So I thought I'd try and use an older stamp and rarely used card stock at least once a week – that is… Read More »

Dear Friend

Can you believe that this is the first time I've used the Tangerine Tango card stock since I purchased it!   And I thought that Raspberry Tart went perfect with it!  What do you think?  The stamp is from Dear Friend, Level 1 Hostess Set. I colored the image with a blender pen and ink pads and then lightly spritzed it with water before stamping on Whisper White card stock. … Read More »
