Today's card uses one of the bigz dies (Flower, Daisy #2). I really like this die especially when used with the Tea Party Designer Series Paper. Today's card uses a technique I saw in the latest issue of Stampin' Success (June 2009) called designer embossing. Basically, you emboss on designer paper instead of card stock. I used Old Olive Craft Ink and Clear Embossing Powder on Holiday Treasures Designer Series Paper. TIP: Choose large images to emboss. I thought I'd make a card without the designer series paper (gasp!!!). I’m amazed what a difference it makes if you lightly spritz the card stock with water before running it through the Big Shot using one of the texturz plates. Spritzing lightly with water makes a deeper impression on the card stock. The colors in the Sweet Always Designer series Paper are unusual but I like them. Who would think that Pumpkin Pie and Regal Rose would go together.
