Flower, Daisy #2

Today's card uses one of the bigz dies (Flower, Daisy #2).  I really like this die especially when used with the Tea Party Designer Series Paper.   This paper is so beautiful with the colors Almost Amethyst, Pretty in Pink, So Saffron, Certainly Celery and Basic Gray I used So Saffron, Almost Amethyst and Tea Party DSP to made the flower.   Then layered them alternating the Almost Amethyst, So Saffron and… Read More »

It’s Time to Par-tay!!!

Well almost!  I was able o order the new Fall-Winter 2009-2010 Idea Book and Catalogs.  Aren't you excited about seeing what Stampin' Up! is offering on 1 July 2009?  Stay tune for the date of the Open House Party which should be sometime during the first week in July.  Starting on 1 June, I will be able to pre-order all kinds of fun stuff like the new in-colors and a… Read More »

I’m back!!!!!

I am so sorry but I've been neglecting this blog and you!  I've been so busy with a group I recently joined called Business Stampers Coaching Group.  I'll try to do a lot better in the future.  I received this stamp a couple of weeks ago and have been aching to try it out.  I think it's one of the prettiest flowers in a vase stamp I've seen in a… Read More »

Designer Embossing

Today's card uses a technique I saw in the latest issue of Stampin' Success (June 2009) called designer embossing.  Basically, you emboss on designer paper instead of card stock.  I used Old Olive Craft Ink and Clear Embossing Powder on Holiday Treasures Designer Series Paper.  TIP:  Choose large images to emboss.  Small embossed images on a busy DSP may add a little more zing than you want! Recipe: Stamp Set: … Read More »

It’s your last chance!

Last Chance List (1 June 2009) As the debut of a new catalog approaches, it's almost time to bid farewell to our retiring stamp sets. We are now calling the retired list the last chance list–because it your last chance to buy these wonderful products.   In celebration of the retired list, I am holding a contest to see who can guess which stamp sets are retiring.  The person with the… Read More »

Heartfelt Thanks

I thought I'd make a card without the designer series paper (gasp!!!).  Yesterday when I was playing around with spritzing the card stock with water before feeding it through the texturz plates and Big Shot, I made one using the scrolls plate from the Texturz Backgrounds #1.  As you can see it came out really nice!  Or at least I hope you think it came out nice! After the card… Read More »

Nature Silhouettes

I’m amazed what a difference it makes if you lightly spritz the card stock with water before running it through the Big Shot using one of the texturz plates.  Spritzing lightly with water makes a deeper impression on the card stock. Recipe: Stamp Set:  Nature Silhouettes Paper:  Sahara Sand, Always Artichoke, To the Nines Specialty Designer Series Paper Ink:  Always Artichoke Craft Ink Accessories:  Clear Embossing Powder, Rich Regals Brads,… Read More »

Upsy Daisy

The colors in the Sweet Always Designer series Paper are unusual but I like them.  Who would think that Pumpkin Pie and Regal Rose would go together.  Though this looks like I used the rock 'n roll method, I did not!  I first inked up the image in Regal Rose, then carefully colored the tips of the flowers with the Pumpkin Pie marker. Recipe: Stamp Set:  Upsy Daisy Paper:  Whisper White, Pumpkin… Read More »
