Dreams du Jour

You have probably noticed (especially if you follow both my blogs) that I've been using stamps that have been around for at least a year.  That's because I feel that I've neglected them!  I am also trying to use card stock that I have not used recently.  So I thought I'd try and use an older stamp and rarely used card stock at least once a week – that is… Read More »

Dear Friend

Can you believe that this is the first time I've used the Tangerine Tango card stock since I purchased it!   And I thought that Raspberry Tart went perfect with it!  What do you think?  The stamp is from Dear Friend, Level 1 Hostess Set. I colored the image with a blender pen and ink pads and then lightly spritzed it with water before stamping on Whisper White card stock. … Read More »

Big Picture Scrapbooking, the site started by Simple Scrapbooks magazine founding editor Stacy Julian which offers online education… Read More »

Simple Pleasures

After my brayer class (with Michelle Zindorf of Freedom in Creating) on Friday, I had to go to the new Michael's in Fort Smith, AR.  It was huge!  I found pattern paper by K&Company that was absolutely beautiful called Brenda Walton Designer Paper (8.5 x 8.5 pad).  All the paper in this pad is vintage looking and did I say beautiful??? The stamp is by Impression Obsession and is called… Read More »

Recently my friend Jane went to California.  Before she left, I told her to try two things while in California.  One was In N Out Burger and the other was See's Candy.  I was going to ask her to bring me back a burger from In N Out, but I didn't think it would last (LOL).  She brought me back the cutest little box (see above) that was filled with… Read More »

Branch Out

What a nice simple design for Branch Out. As you may know, I usually make flowery cards but lately I've been buying the more modern stamp sets, such as this one and Fifth Avenue Floral.  I've had fun playing with them – now I all I have to do is order some of the bold bright designer series paper Washington Apple or Rockabilly Specialty. I might with the special we are… Read More »

Soft Summer

I know that dogwoods are either white or pink but I could not resist making one in blue!  The main image was stamped in brown stazon and colored in using reinkers and a blender pen.  Using post it notes, I softly sponged blue on the card stock leaving a white border.  The sentiment was mounted on stampin' dimensionals so that it would create a soft shadow.  What do you… Read More »
