You’re Peachy Keen

I remember people saying “peachy keen” in the early 50’s!  I guess I’m really dating myself (LOL).   Wonderfully retro, the Peachy Keen Stamp Set coordinates with the On Film Framelits Dies and the Retro Fresh Suite. I’m so glad we finally have a flower die to make 3D flowers with.  So easy to make – run Whisper White Card Stock through the Big shot using our new Spiral Flower Die.  Roll… Read More »

When is a negative positive?

When it’s a picture of Poppa & Rachel!  Since the Film Strip in the On Film Framelits Dies, from the Occasions catalog,  reminds me of the film for cameras that still use 35MM still format, I decided to use a picture of them and make a negative out of that picture.   This card is for David’s birthday.  It’s on 21 February 2014 so I am way ahead of the game – usually… Read More »

Happy New Year – 2014!

We’ve discovered Sparkling White Grape Juice and I can pretend it’s Champaign!   We toasted to the new year by fireplace and then went to bed at 9:30 pm (ha, ha).  With my headaches and medicine I’m taking right now, I’m trying to stay away from wine! Happy New Year everyone! ~~Rachel

Need a cheerful card to brighten your day?

Nothing like a light and cheery card to brighten your day.  The sentiment “Sending Good Thoughts Your Way” in the Perfect Pennants Stamp Set is perfect to send someone that needs some cheering up! If you know me, you know I love floral paper and the Fresh Prints Designer Series Paper Pack has one that reminds me of Comfort Café Designer Series Paper.  That DSP was a long time favorite of mine. Today’s card… Read More »

How to make an Elegant yet Simple Card

How was you Christmas?  Are you glad it’s over?   We went to my daughter Stephanie’s house for the day.   Her husband is a chef and he made Christmas dinner.  Was it ever delicious!  We had Tamales (yes, he makes tamales!), Prime Rib with Béarnaise Sauce, Squash/Asparagus Veggies, Cranberry with oranges, sweet potato casserole, spiced peaches (home made, not store bought) and Banana Meringue Pie and Silk Chocolate Pie (also home made).   I think he’s just… Read More »
