Old Meets New – Creative Elements

By | July 27, 2012

Hi Stampin' Friends

Is it hot enough for you?  I keep reminding myself that come December, I am going to wish it was July!  Okay, okay, enough complaining about the weather because I realize it's hot everywhere.  Instead lets talk about our favorite subject – stampin!

Today's card features the Creative Elements Stamp Set (OLD) and the gorgeous Vintage Faceted Designer Buttons (NEW).  The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.

Treat yourself to a designer’s touch with the versatile images of the Creative Elements set. Full of eclectic appeal, each element adds individual flair to create a perfectly accessorized project. Whether it’s a wedding scrapbook page or a playful butterfly!

ButterflyI stamped the butterfly image with Raspberry Ripple on Crumb Cake Card Stock and then punched it out using our new gorgeous Elegant Butterfly Punch.  It sured saved cutting it with the Paper Snips.  I then added Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the butterfly.

So what do you think?  Does it look okay or should I have cut it out using the Paper Snips?  Leave a comment on this post and let me know which one you prefer.

ButtonThe ribbon is the 1/2" Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon with a new Vintage Faceted Designer Button on the left side of the ribbon.  I attached a Rhinestone Basic Jewel to the center of the button.

So I mixed two colors (Raspberry Ripple and Cherry Cobbler) and you can't tell – even in the photo.
