Hi Stampers
Because I'm still trying to use up the little pieces from the Springtime Vintage Designer Series Paper, I decided to make a card featuring the Ohio Star quilt block which is an eight-pointed star. Back in the day when I was quilting, this was my favorite quilt block. Making this card brought back so many memories of quilting and I keep saying I'm going back to it but I haven't as yet. But I probably will not because I can't afford two expensive hobbies!
The card is 5 1/4" x 5 1/4". Each whole square measures 1 3/4". Each triangle was made using the 1 1/4" square punch and then cut on the diagonal. When the triangles are put together they measure 1 3/4" x 1 3/4".
Note: I used the Big Shot Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets from the Occasions Mini Catalog for my squares. It is so much better than feeding it through the Xyron or using my snail adhesive! Good by Xyron – hello Adhesive Sheets!
I embossed the very Vanilla Card Stock using the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder to make it look like the block has been quilted. The paper is the Springtime Vintage Designer Series Paper from the Occasions Mini Catalog. The Sentiment is from the Over All Stamp Set and stamped using Not Quite Navy Classic Ink.
Thanks for stopping by today!
~~Rachel
