Nuts about Squirrels – a cute card for you

By | November 12, 2021

Who doesn’t love these cute adorable whimsical squirrels from Stampin’ Up! I do, I do! I happen to love all the whimsical images in this year’s annual catalog and mini catalogs! I absolutely adored the Counting Sheet Stamp Set and dies from the Sale-a-Bration Brochure and I hope they bring it back for next year’s annual catalog. For today’s card, I’m using the Nuts About Squirrels Stamp Set. I still had the retired Brights 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper out on my desk so I decided to use it for today’s card.

The squirrel (lined image) was stamped with Tuxedo Black Ink onto Basic White Thick Cardstock. I then stamped it again with the solid image in Smoky Slate Ink. The acorn was stamped with Soft Suede Ink. The bottom was stamped off before stamping on it to create a lighter color. I then fussy cut the squirrel with our Paper Snips.

The leaves were stamped with Granny Apple Green Ink onto Basic White Thick Cardstock. I then lightly colored in the tips with Cajun Craze Ink and a Water Painter and die cut using the Flourishing Ferns Dies. The leaves are from the Forever Fern Stamp Set.

The center panel was embossed using the Bark 3D Stampin’ Emboss Folder. The layer under that is from the Brights 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper. The twine is from the Baker’s Twine Essential Pack and the gems are from the Genial Gems Pack.

Thanks for stopping by today and have a great weekend!😘
