Number of Years equals Two!

That’s how old my great-grandson Ollie is and OMG – I completely forgot his birthday!😟 🎂 🎁 🎉 🎊 Since I didn’t have any stamp sets for small children, I decided to use the retired Number of Years Stamp Set and Large Numbers Dies. I need to stock up on stamp sets for young children – that seems to be the only category that I don’t have. Do any of you have the same problem? That you are lacking in a certain category?

I selected the Penguin Playmates Designer Series Paper because I’m working on a quilt for my grandson that contains foxes and other forest animals. For his first birthday, I even scanned that fabric and used it as the background for his card. Here’s the card:

Card Measurements:

1. Base card: Misty Moonlight Cardstock (11″ x 4 1/4″)
2. Next Layer: Canjun Craze Cardstock (5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″
3. DSP: Playful Penguins Designer Series Paper (5 1/4″ x 4″)
4. Front panel layer 1: Misty Moonlight Cardstock (4 1/2″ x 3 1/4″)
5. Front Panel layer 2: Cajun Craze Cardstock (4 3/8″ x 3 1/8″)
6. Front Panel layer 3: Basic White Cardstock (4 1/4″ x 3″)
7. DSP: 2 1/4″ x 1 1/4″ (for #2)
8. DSP: Fox

What I did:

1. Take base card and fold in half using a Bone Folder for a sharper crease.
2. Adhere next layer to base card with our Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
3. Take the DSP and attached it to the card using the liquid glue.
4. Stamp sentiment on front panel in Misty Moonlight.
5. Die cut the number two using the same DSP as the background with the coordinating Large Numbers Die. Glue to front of front panel (see card).
6. Emboss with the Subltes 3D Embossing Folder.
7. Cut out one of the foxes from the DSP leaving a wide margin and attach the Foam Adhesive Sheets. Fussy cut with our Paper Snips and attach to front panel.
8. Adhere layers #2 and #2 to front panel.
9. Add Foam Adhesive cut to size of the front panel.
10. Attach to the front of the card.

Inside of card:

The sentiment was computer generated because I wanted to personalize the card. The adorable cute little fox is fussy cut from the same DSP as used in the front.
