I have some exciting news to share about a fun change coming to our ink pads! Starting in May 2026, Stampin’ Up! will be introducing new felt ink pads in a magnetic, stackable case design — and honestly, they sound amazing!

Here’s how the rollout will work: in 2026, only the new In Colors will be available in the new magnetic felt pads. Then in 2027, all ink colors will transition to the new magnetic felt pad as part of a planned color revamp, and the current pad style will be phased out at that time. (Be sure to check out the Q&A for additional details!)

The most important thing I want you to know is that your existing ink pads will still be perfectly usable throughout this entire transition — there’s no need to rush out and replace anything you already own. That said, once the full transition takes place, the old ink pad design will only be available while supplies last, so just keep that in mind as you plan ahead.

Why are the ink pads changing?

We’re always looking for ways to improve performance and consistency. Felt is a more stable material for dye-based ink, which helps keep colors looking the way they’re intended over time. The new magnetic case also makes the pads easier to open, close, and store.

Thanks for stopping by today! I’ve been busy in my craft room, and next time I’ll have a card project to show you — I hope you’ll come back! Be sure to sign up for my blog updates (right side column) so you don’t miss it!
