Nature Walk

Hi Stampers

 
The Nature Walk Stamp Set has an intriguing collection of delicate bird eggs; mesmerizing butterfly, bee, and bird specimens; and a marvelous piece of flora growing and blooming in a gentle meadow.  I decided to use the flower image for today's card which the ladies will be making at Stamp Camp on Friday, 11 March 2011.

The image was colored in using Marina Mist and Old Olive Stampin' Write Markers.  I then lightly sponged around the image with Marina Mist Classic Ink using the masking technique.  I used a piece of DSP backing cardboard that had an oval cut out with the Ovals Originals Die.  I love my Big Shot Die Cut Machine – I can't image being without it because I use it for 90% of all my cards whether it's a die cut or embossed with one of the many Stampin' Up! Embossing folders!

The paper used is from the Botanical Gazette Designer Series Paper from the Occasions Mini Catalog.  The Marina Mist 5/8" Satin Ribbon adds a soft touch and with the Antique Brad completes an elegant look to the card.

Okay, now I've been thinking about what to offer as blog candy on 11 March for my Blog Anniversary.   I think I will add one yard of the each of the In-color Stitched Poly Ribbon to all the goodies I have lined up.  I'll have a picture of what i am giving away posted on the blog on Thursday.
