My Dear Kind & Wonderful Friend

By | February 9, 2012

Hi Stampers

Opener
I must be in a shabby chic mood because it seems that's all I've been making lately!  I love the way this turned out.  I used the All Holidays Stamp Brush Set and the sentiment "My dear kind and wonderful friend" as the focal point for this card.

All-Holidays
I paired it with the Beau Chateau Designer Series Paper for a vintage and shabby chic look.   The sentiment was printed out using My Digital Studio on Very Vanilla Card Stock.

RosesThe ribbon roses are from the Bridal Section at Wal-mart.  They only come in white so I dipped one in Soft Suede Classic Ink mixed with a little water to color it.  The other two roses were colored with the Pink Pirouette Stampin' Write Marker.

The leaves are Always Artichoke Card Stock punched out with the Bird Punch.

Ribbon

I used the Crumb Cake 1/2" Seam Binding Ribbon for accent.  The way you can get the ribbon to curl slight or give it that scrunched look is to heat it with the Heat Tool.  I lay it on the smaller tray of the Power Pals and hold it down with the brush while I use the Heat Tool.

If you would like to make a card like this, you need the My Digital Studio.  And right now the My Digital Studio Express is available for a 30 day free trial!  Try it out and see if you like it – no credit card required.  Click here for all the details…..
