Makery Challenge#1

By | April 5, 2018

Barbara Miller from Inky B’s Journey asked me to participate in a mystery swap with her.  If you are not familiar with how it works, here it is:

  • Select a stamp, materials and design a card.
  • E-mail the other participant with the name of the stamp set and what materials to use.  She is also free to use any additional embellishments she wants.
  • At the end, exchange pictures (send via e-mail) of the cards both participants made.

Barbara selected the Small Things Stamp Set from the new Creating Life’s Moments Mini Catalog and chose Whip Cream, Blue Lagoon and Black Licorice Card Stock.  We both used the same card stock and came up with very different designs.

Barbara’s card is on the left – mine is on the right.

1-butterfly card Small-Things3

For our next card, I selected A Bushel & A Peck Stamp set and used Whip Cream, Summer Sun, Cranberry Bliss and Oatmeal Cookie Card Stock.  Again, two very different looks!

Barbara’s card is on the left – mine is on the right.

2-apple card A-Bushel-&-a-Peck3

Note:  For these challenges, we don’t share our cards until the designated reveal day so that we don’t influence each other.
