Love is all you need

I know that the Expressions Thinlits is retired but I love this die and will continue to use it!  I pulled it out  it for today’s card featuring the word “Love” from the set.

With all the gloomy weather around here, it’s time for a bright and cheerful card and I think this does the trick!  What do you think?
Love-2I started off by inking up the Off the Grid Stamp with Versamark  and stamping it on Whisper White Card Stock.  Then I added White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and set it with my Heat Tool.

I then added Soft Sky, Crisp Cantaloupe, So Saffron and Pear Pizzazz Classic Ink with a sponge dauber over the embossed image.  Just swipe back and forth a couple of times.

The sentiment was die cut using the Expressions Thinlits and adhered to the front of the card using Tombo Multi-purpose glue.  Use just a couple of small dots on each letter.  I finished off the  card front with the Crisp Cantaloupe Baker’s Twine and layered it on Crisp Cantaloupe Card Stock.

Tip:  Always use wax paper when using framelits/die cuts with intricate designs.

As I was making this card, the Beatles’ song “Love is all you need” kept going through my head!  Watch the Beatles (or John Lennon) sing this song.   Brings back so many good memories of the 60’s.
