Like to Watercolor?

It’s 1 degrees outside at 7:30 am and even my snowmen want to come in to warm up!  I decided to make a spring like card to brighten my day.  If I keep thinking Spring, maybe the weather will warm up.

Share your happiness with others with the Happy Watercolor Stamp Set.   Created specifically for watercoloring, this set allows you to fully express your creativity.  It also coordinates with the Watercolor Wonder SuiteaHappy-Watercolor-3This has to be my favorite stamp set from the Occasions Catalog.  I used it with the coordinating Watercolor Wonder Designer Series Paper.

flowerI stamped the image with Black Stazon on Whisper White Card Stock.  I then colored the flowers with the Soft Sky Stampin’ Write Marker.  I used a Blender Pen and the Island Indigo Ink to darken the areas toward the center of the flowers.  I also added yellow to the centers using the Crushed Curry Stampin’ Write Marker.

The stem was colored in using the Gumball Green Stampin’ Write Marker.  The sentiment is from the Petite Pairs Stamp Set.

I used the Spritzer Color Tool around the edges of the tag.  The Spritzer is retired but is on the clearance rack for at least 50% off.  It’s my favorite go to tool when I want an airbrush effect on the corners of my cards.  Even though it is retired, I’ll continue to use it because I love the results.

aHappy-Watercolor-2The folder is called Decorative Dots and it’s from the Sale-a-Bration Catalog.  If you have any questions regarding this card, please send me an e-mail.
