It’s a Beachy Kind of Day

Good Morning Crafters

For today’s card, I’m using the Paradise Palms Stamp Set. I was inspired by Tina Wardell for this card. Wouldn’t it be nice to get away for a couple of weeks to some balmy island. Heck, I’d even take a couple of days!

A relaxing island getaway is always within reach when you craft with this set. You can use these stamps to set the scene in so many ways: stamp a single palm tree ripe with coconuts just basking in the warm sunshine or several palm trees together for a coconut grove — you can’t go wrong! It’s the perfect set for cardmaking with all-occasion sentiments that convey only the warmest of wishes.

I stamped the images (palms and trunk) with Evening Evergreen and Soft Suede Stampin’ Write Markers. And, I stamped the sand under the palms with Crumb Cake Ink.

The water was watercolored using Balmy Blue Ink and one of our Water Painters. The sand on the other side of the water was watercolored with Crumb Cake Ink and our Water Painters. The clouds were sponged with the Balmy Blue Ink and one of our Blending Brushes. The sentiment was stamped with Black Tuxedo Ink.

Envelope stamped with same image as card using the Evening Evergreen Stampin’ Write Marker for the palms and Soft Suede Stampin’ Write Marker for the trunks. The inside of the card was stamped with Evening Evergreen Ink for the palms and Soft Suede Ink for the trunk.
