Good Morning Stampers

I hope by now you've noticed my new blog.  Isn't it beautiful?  It was made by the talented Michelle Laycock of Laycock Designs.  I also have some blog candy for you – just leave a comment on any post from now until 31 March 2010.  I'll draw a lucky winner on 1 April 2010.  The prize is the Good Neighbors Clear Mount Stamp Set from the Sale-a-bration Mini catalog.

Today's card is made for Stampin' Connection Feature Stamper Challenge #8 by Mary Jo Price-Williams.  The featured stamper is Wendy Hawkins, a very talented stamper!  The two items I changed were to emboss the pink background and use a spritzer on the stamp after I colored it in.  Okay, I guess it was 3 things I changed – I added rhinestone brads instead of pearls.   I can't give you a link to her card because the site is for demo's only.

The main image was colored with Pretty in Pink, Old Olive and Chocolate Chip Stampin' Write Markers.  I then lightly spritzed it with my Champaign Mist & alcohol mix to give it a watercolor effect and stamped it on Very Vanilla card stock.  You can't see it in the photo, but it has a slight golden sheen – very pretty.

Handovermouth1 I can't help it but I have to open my big mouth and say that there is something new in the summer mini catalog that you can use to get the same effect as that above.  Oh, how I wish I could tell you!  But you'll find out on 1 May when the Summer Mini goes live.

Scallop-trimI added a border using Very Vanilla card stock and Scallop Trim Border Punch available in the Sale-a-bration Mini Catalog.  All  you have to do is make a $50 purchase to get this dainty decorative punch.

I added 1" Chocolate Chip Satin Ribbon which I believe is retired.  That was finished off with the Circle Fire Rhinestone Brads for a bit of bling.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Leave a comment – I really enjoy reading them – makes my day!

Oh no, it’s soooooooo long until May 1st…can’t wait to see what is new! Love this card Rachel…what a great idea to spritz with the champaigne mist rather than water! Love what you have done!
