Independence day

By | June 13, 2009

Today's card is for this week's challenge on Stampin' Up! Late Night Stampers' forum to make a card using one of the retiring stamp sets.  I selected Independence day.

Independence-Day

I didn't have pattern paper that had the 4th of July theme so I thought I'd make my own.   I stamped one of the stars from the stamp set in Whisper White Craft Ink and then heat embossed with White Embossing Powder. After it dried, I added Dazzling Diamonds.  The sentiment is stamped with Basic Black Craft Ink and then heat embossed with Basic Black Embossing Powder

Recipe:

  • Stamp Set:  Independence Day
  • Paper:  Night of Navy, Real Red, Whisper White
  • Ink:  Real Red Classic Ink, Whisper White Craft Ink, Night of Navy Classic Ink, Basic Black Craft Ink
  • Accessories:  Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon, White Embossing Powder, Basic Black Embossing Powder

Thanks for stopping by!
