HEE-HAW

Today’s card feature the Darling Donkeys Stamp Set from the Sale-a-Bration Brochure. This is one of the sets you can get for free starting in January 2021. I saw this card on Tina Wardell’s blog and knew I had to case it because it was sooo cute. I didn’t have the DSP she used so I made my own with the retired Brushstrokes Background Stamp.

I stamped the donkey image with Tuxedo Black Ink onto Whisper White Cardstock. I then colored it using the Gray Granite Stampin’ Blends Markers. For the ear, I used the Petals Pink Stampin’ Write Marker. I free hand created the grass with the Old Olive Stampin’ Write Marker. The greeting “confetti” was made the following Stampin’ Write Markers:

  • Magenta Madness
  • Mango Melody
  • Shaded Spruce
  • Terracotta Tile
  • Night of Navy

The pearls were colored in using the above colors.

To create the background, I individually colored every line with the above colors. To keep the colors from drying before stamping, I individually colored a stripe, stamped, and then colored the next stripe and then stamped. Thanks goodness for our Stamparatus! I couldn’t have done it this way without it.

Note: If you are one of my customers and have ordered from me in the past 6 months, you will automatically get a new catalog and brochure. They will ship the last week in December. If you are not a customer and don’t have a current demonstrator, please send me your name, address and zip code and I will get one out to you.

Thanks for stopping by today – have a great “hump” day.
