YAY – I’m happy not because this is the shortest day of the year for us but because days will now start getting longer and longer. I am so looking forward to Spring and Summer!
In honor of this day, I selected the Winter Woods Stamp Set for today’s card. I also know a person who has a birthday in January so this should be the perfect card for him.
To start, I stamped the trees with Versamark Ink onto Whisper White Cardstock. I then set with the Stampin’ White Emboss Powder and our Heat Tool. After that, I added Night of Navy Ink with our Sponge Brayer to the top 3/4 of the card to create the sky. I used masking on the bottom for the snow. I then rubbed the dark ink off the trees with a tissue.
To create the snow flakes, I added a couple of drops of White Craft Ink into a small container. I then dipped the point of the stylus (from the Simply Score Tool) into the ink and then onto the sky and trees. The greeting is from the retired Label Me Bold Stamp Set.
