Mother’s day is not only for mothers but also for mother figures, including grandmothers, great-grandmothers, stepmothers, and foster mothers.

I did not realize it was also celebrated around the world! (from the Wikipedia) It is celebrated on various days in many parts of the world, most commonly in spring. (e.g., April–May in the northern hemisphere, October in Argentina, but northern hemisphere spring, May, in Australia)

Since my mother passed away in 1997, I usually send mother’s day cards to both my daughters who I think are doing a terrific job as mothers. Today’s card is for my daughter Deena.

I stamped the flower and leaves from the Fabulous Florets and the heart from My Mother with VersaMark Ink on the Vellum Card Stock. I then added White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and set it with the Heat Tool.

I colored the back of the flower and heart with the Pink Pirouette Stampin’ Write Marker and the back of the leaves with the Pear Pizzazz Stampin’ Write Marker. I carefully cut around the images with the Paper Snips.

I embossed the Vellum Card Stock with the Beautifully Baroque Embossing Folder. Since any adhesive will show through the Vellum Card Stock, I only added it to the area under the sentiment.

I added Stampin’ Dimensionals under the flower and then placed the pearls so that you couldn’t see the dimensionals through the vellum.
