When you first see the beautiful Floral Heart Die, you may think it’s it for only Valentines, but it really can be used for so much more such as birthday, sympathy and thinking of you cards. For today’s project, I created a Happy Anniversary card with the die. I cased this idea from page 74 of the annual catalog and changed the colors. If you are new to card making, you may not be familiar with the term CASEing. “Case” means copy and share everything. And it’s okay to case.
Picking the gorgeous Blackberry Beauty Designer Series Paper for the background determined the color I was going to use for my card.
What I did:
- Base card: Rich Razzleberry Cardstock (8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″). Fold in half and use Bone Folder for a sharp crease.
- Next layer: Gold Foil Sheet (5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″). Adhere to base card with Multipurpose Liquid Glue
- Next layer: Blackberry Beauty DSP (5 1/4″ x 4″) Adhere to front of card with Multipurpose Liquid Glue
- Front panel: Vellum Cardstock (4″ x 2 1/2″). Adhere to front of card with mini glue dots.
- Heart: Rich Razzleberry Cardstock (4 1/2″ x 4 1/2″). Attach same size of Foam Adhesive Sheet to back of cardstock. Die cut using the Floral Heart Die.
- Heart: Remove backing from heart and attach to front of card.
- Cardstock strip: Rich Razzleberry Cardstock (3″ x 5/8″). Stamp sentiment with Versamark Ink and emboss using the Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and Heat Tool.
- Add rhinestones for a little glitz.
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a great Wednesday and rest of the week.
