Hi Stampin' Friends

First of all, Happy 50th Anniversary to Becky & Bobby!  Becky and I have been best friends since 1958 and even though I moved out of state we've stayed in touch.  I'm sorry I will not be in California to celebrate such a important occasion with them.

This is such a simple card that I don't know why I had such a hard time making it.  Maybe it was because it was for such a significant event in my best friend's life.

The names on the medium heart and the sentiment Happy 50th Anniversary (inside the card) were made using the My Digital Studio 2 in the color More Mustard and printed on Very Vanilla Card Stock.  It was the closest color to gold and when it printed out, it looked gold!

HeartsThe hearts are from the Hearts Collection Framelits Dies.  After they were die cut, I embossed them using the gorgeous new Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder from the Holiday Catalog.  I added Pearls from the Basic Pearls Jewels Accents for a little touch of class.

RosesThe roses are from my long lost stash I found when we moved.  I have a lot of them and they are just too pretty to throw away or even give away.  Unless it's on a card! (LOL)

I added two leaves to the left side of the roses just for interest.  I tried making them in a green color but it took away from the simplicity of the card.  The leaves were cut free hand using Paper Snips and then embossed with the Houndstooth Embossing Folder.

LaceThe lace is non-SU and also from "stuff" I discovered when we moved.  Again, too pretty to throw or give away.

Very pretty, Rachel. Love all the embossing. And the lace adds such a nice touch!
