I am loving the Plaid Tiding 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper. These classic all-season plaids are perfect for your holidays paper crafts or your all year long handmade projects, especially for masculine cards. I paired the DSP with the Gnome for the Holidays Stamp Set for today’s post.
This card is a slimline card which is so trendy right now. It’s a long and narrow card made to fit in a regular #10 business envelope, which measures approximately 4 1/8″ x 9 1/2. Slimline cards are a fun change from the normal routine of A2 cards! Because they’re long and narrow, you have a larger surface to create your design, and you can create more of a ‘scene.’ If you haven’t made one, try it! I’ll have a tutorial on the measurements of the card and a tutorial on how to make a slimline envelope.
I cut the curves with the Curvy Dies and added Wink of Stella to the curves to make it look like snow.
The tree is from the In the Woods Dies. I added the Red Rhinestones Basic Jewels to the tree to make it pop a little. The cute gnome image was colored in using the following Stampin’ Blends.

- Cherry Cobbler
- Soft Suede
- Petal Pink
- Mossy Meadow
The cap was paper pieced with one of the Plaid Tidings DSP to match the plaid used for the background. To finish off the card, I used snowflakes from the retired Frosted Sequins Embellishments.
