Fancy Flowers

Here's the card I was working on yesterday.

 
Today's card features the Fancy Flower Stamp Set.  I Love this stamp set and hope it doesn't retire come 1 July 2011 because it's one of my favorite even though I haven't used it very much lately. 

There are a  lot of things going on with this card.  The Very Vanilla Card Stock was partially embossed with the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder and then I made two score lines above the embossing and below it though the Marina Mist 1 1/4" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon hides the score lines in the bottom portion.

The flowers were stamped on Very Vanilla Card Stock (two step stamping) using Marina Mist Classic Ink.  The leaves were stamped using Old Olive Classic Ink.  The flowers and leaves were then cut out using Paper Snips and adhered to the front with Stampin' Dimensionals to make them pop out.

I added bling to the flowers (see above) using glitter glue and Marina Mist Reinker.  I also attempted to color the pearls with the Marina Mist Stampin' Write Marker.  I rubbed them to see if the color would come off and most of it did but there a small trace of the color on the pearls.

The Victoria 5/8" Crochet Trim  (double bow) was added to the Marina Mist 1 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon to give it a slight vintage shabby chic look.
