Hi Stampers
This is one of the hostess stamp sets which we (demonstrators) are able to purchase as a pre-order from the 2011/2012 Idea Book & Catalog. I Love the three images in the Faith in Nature Stamp Set. It contains a leaf, flower and pearl – all simply beautiful. It was hard for me to only choose two of the hostess sets from all that are available for purchase until 30 June 2011 but I decided on one floral set and one sentiment set.
I stamped the image with Versamark on Watercolor Paper, applied Black Embossing Powder and set it with the Heat Tool. I colored in the flower image with the Daffodil Delight Stampin' Write Marker and an Aqua Painter and colored in the stem with the Pear Pizzazz Stampin' Write Marker. I lightly shaded around the flower with the Baja Breeze Classic Stampin' Writer and an Aqua Painter. Using markers and an aqua painter is one of my favorite ways to watercolor.
I added a strip of Daffodil Delight Card Stock that was punched out using the new Lace Ribbon Border Punch and attached it to the left side of the main image. The Victoria 5/8 Crochet Trim and Daffodil Delight 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon around the front of the base card completed the look.
The base card (Baja Breeze Card Stock) was embossed using the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder and the Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine.
