Hello my Stampin’ Friends
This charming gate fold card showcases the Mixed Florals Bundle with a beautiful arrangement of hand-colored Highland Heather tulips and delicate Lemon Lolly flowers against a textured white background with subtle Highland Heather striping. The floral centerpiece is framed by coordinating patterned paper featuring botanical designs on a natural kraft background. The card base perfectly complements the tulips, while the sentiment “THANK YOU FOR YOUR FRIENDSHIP” adds a heartfelt touch on a simple white banner. This elegant yet vibrant design makes for a perfect springtime greeting that any friend would treasure receiving.
The base card is made with Highland Heather cardstock (8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″) and scored at 2 1/8″ on both long ends. I attached two strips of the Perennial Lavender 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper (DSP) to the two side panels. For the center panel, I stamped with Highland Heather ink using the retired Brushed Strokes Background Stamp, then layered it with a thin border of Highland Heather cardstock.
The focal image (tulips) was colored with Highland Heather Stampin’ Blends, and the small flowers were colored with Lemon Lolly Stampin’ Blends. The leaves were colored with Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Blends. I have to admit that this is the first time I’ve used Shaded Spruce (listed on the back of the DSP) for coloring leaves. I usually use Old Olive or Mossy Meadow.
The sentiment is from the Perennial Postage Stamp Set and was stamped with Highland Heather Ink and die cut from the Textured Notes Dies.
I used the same DSP on the inside of the card as I did on the front. The die cut is from the Mixed Florals Dies. The same DSP was also applied to the envelope flap for a more cohesive look.
