Hello my Stampin’ Friends
I was planning to use my favorite Designer Series Paper, Beautiful Gallery, for today’s but decided to show some love to the retired and much neglected—yet equally beautiful—Thoughtful Journey 6″ x 6″ DSP instead.
This stunning “thinking of you” card showcases a creative triptych design using three panels of Stampin’ Up!’s Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper. Each panel features beautiful watercolor-style artwork with dreamy washes of Lost Lagoon, Petunia Pop, Wild Wheat and Mossy Meadow that blend together like an impressionist painting. Delicate purple thistle-like flowers are scattered across the panels, creating continuity while each section maintains its own unique color gradient. The soft, ethereal quality of the artwork evokes a sense of calm and thoughtfulness perfect for the card’s sentiment.
The card’s layout uses Basic White Thick cardstock as the base and Petunia Pop as the dividing strips between each panel, creating a cohesive frame that unifies the three sections. A white sentiment banner with decorative stitching holds the phrase “thinking of you” stamped in coordinating Petunia Pop ink, positioned prominently on the left panel. Pink ribbon loops behind the banner add movement and visual interest, while small rhinestone embellishments in matching tones are strategically placed to catch the light and enhance the card’s elegant appearance.
The artistic composition creates depth through the layered watercolor effects, with colors that seem to flow from one panel to the next. The combination of Lost Lagoon’s calming blue-green, Petunia Pop’s vibrant pink, and Mossy Meadow’s natural green creates a harmonious palette reminiscent of a peaceful garden or meadow scene.
The inside of the card features a clean white writing space bordered by Petunia Pop matting, with a decorative strip of the same Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper along the bottom edge, finished with an elegant scalloped border that coordinates beautifully with the card’s watercolor theme.
A coordinating envelope with the same Designer Series Paper completes this sophisticated card design that would make any recipient feel truly remembered and cherished.
