You have probably noticed (especially if you follow both my blogs) that I've been using stamps that have been around for at least a year. That's because I feel that I've neglected them! I am also trying to use card stock that I have not used recently. So I thought I'd try and use an older stamp and rarely used card stock at least once a week – that is until they retire.
This card includes the Dreams du Jour stamp set. I tried to stay away from pattern paper and it was so hard! I've become so accustom to using pattern paper to set the color. I think it turned out pretty good – what do you think?
Recipe:
- Stamp Set: Dreams du Jour
- Paper: Natural White, Pink Passion, Basic Black
- Ink: Black Stazon
- Accessories: Stampin' Write Makers (Old Olive, Rose Red, Regal Rose), Vintage Brads, Grosgrain Ribbon from Wal-Mart
Thanks for visiting!
This is really pretty. I love all the layers.
I agree! The patterned paper is a crutch for me! I love the look with the white. I made my first CAS cards yesterday and I love them!
Rachel, I too have many stamps I am just getting around to using. Beautifully done!
Very pretty. I love the simple clean look of it.
Great card! I love the simplicity of it!
Great idea! I need to try pulling out some of my older stamps. LOL I still have some new ones that haven’t seen ink. I need to get stamping!
Love your card! I love the clean look of the card you created with just color layers on white cardstock. Very elegant!
It’s very nice! And the image looks so bold and stands out great against the white. Although, I have major trouble making a card without DSP lately. This is great!
