Good Afternoon Crafters!
If farm living (or farm dreaming) is the life for you, give our Day at the Farm Designer Series Paper a try! One side of the sheet has country-inspired images: cows, sheep, and pigs; ducks and chickens; vegetables; barns and silos; trees and plants. One sheet even has a full-page scene that you can cut into six separate 4″ x 6″ scenes to use on card fronts! The other side of each sheet has basic patterns that have a subtle pastoral feel: wire, burlap, rolling hills, plaids. This paper is available and free only during Sale-a-Bration which ends on 28 February 2023, so now’s the time to invite the country life into your card making!
The cow, sheep and pig images were fussy cut from the Day on the Farm DSP using the Paper Snips. The greeting is from the Peekaboo Farm Stamp Set.
The background layer is from the same DSP and was attached to the base card with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. The front panel (Basic White cardstock) was embossed with the Tasteful Textures 3D Embossing Folder just so that it wouldn’t be so plan.
The twine is a retired Non-SU item which I’ve had for years since it’s on a large roll and it matched the Pear Pizzazz in the DSP.
This is the inside of the card. Cardstock was die cut using the Stitched Rectangle Dies. The mama pig was fussy cut with the Paper Snips.
And this is the decorated envelope. I’m glad I’ve started doing this because people I’ve sent these cards really like the envelopes!
Thanks again for stopping by and spending a bit of your time with me. I hope you enjoyed learning about how this card came together. Hopefully you were even inspired just a bit. If you enjoyed my project for today, please be sure to visit my Card Gallery for lots of ideas and inspiration. Have a great day!
