Tis the season for spreading joy, and what better way to do that than with thoughtful gifts? If you’re considering creating gift card holders for the upcoming holidays, I’ve got just the solution for you – a quick and easy DIY gift card holder that’s as delightful to make as it is to give.
The giraffe and tree images was stamped with Tuxedo Black Ink onto Basic White Cardstock. It was then cut with the Circle Deckled Dies and layered with Cherry Cobbler Cardstock. The following Stampin’ Blends were used to color in the images:
- Daffodil for the giraffe body
- Pumpkin Pie for the spots on the giraff
- Gray Granite for the hooves
- Cherry Cobbler for the hat
- Daffodil Delight for the Star
- Mossy Meadow for the Christmas tree
- Cherry Cobbler, Balmy Blue and Daffodil Delight for the ornaments
- Crumb Cake for the tree trunk
- Gray Granite for the tree containers
- Cherry Cobber for the ribbon
- Mossy Meadow for the holly leaves on the basket
- Cherry Cobbler for the holly berries.
Adding Wink of Stella to the ornaments made them darker in color and sparkly!
To create the base card, I took a piece of Cherry Cobbler Cardstock (8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″) and scored at 1 1/2″ and 5 3/4″. The pattern paper for the front of the card is from the Traditions of St Nick Designer Series Paper (DSP). I added red rhinestones from the retired Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels.
Added two sides panel from the Traditions of St Nick DSP. The gift card holder is 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ and was cut on a diagonal. I attached a thin strip of the Adhesive Tear & Tape to the left and bottom sides of the gift card holder.
Added a strip of the DSP (6″ x 2 1/2″) to the envelope and trimmed with our paper snips.
